If you've made your way to this page, I'd like to first take a minute to say THANK YOU for showing interest in my photography. Even though more than 15 years have passed since I started 1826 Photographic, I still find it mind-blowing and super-flattering that people like my work. It's not a lack of confidence in my work at all...more like a total disbelief that I got this lucky. Who gets to wake up every day and honestly say that they LOVE what they do and still make a living? I DO. And for that, I thank you.

I was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio, received my BA in Studio Art & New Media from the University of Toledo, and chose to come back to my hometown that I love so much. Life has changed dramatically since 2007 when I was fresh out of college and starting my business. Between then and now I've photographed hundreds of weddings, acquired my studio, married the love of my life, and am the mommy to two of the sweetest boys in the world, Hugh and Hayes. Life. Is. Good.

Hi there! I'm Lindsey - photographer, cat mama, enneagram 2w1, lover of life and all of its fun little adventures - Lemons. It's nice to meet you!

I met Jamie in 2016 when I was looking for an internship to complete a college requirement. I was in desperate need of a job with hours and experience and she was in desperate need of some help. She was pregnant with her first son and was on the verge of bedrest when I stepped in. We met and instantly clicked! So I officially joined 1826 Photographic in 2017 after I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communications - Commercial Photography. Goooooo Bobcats!

Since starting with Jamie, I've photographed over 50+ weddings and have been a (COVID) bride myself. I got married to my best friend on 10.10.2020 at a small and intimate gathering, and then had a big celebration the following year on our one-year anniversary - so I completely understand all the stress and struggles of planning and hosting a wedding since I did it twice in the middle of a global pandemic!

Not only have I shot over 50+ weddings with Jamie, but I also have photographed what feels like hundreds of engagement, family, corporate, and senior sessions. I started what is now our Senior Spokesmodel Program and I manage all of our social media pages! This job is truly a dream come true and I can't wait to help make your photo dreams come true in whatever you may need 1826 Photographic for! :)

Brooke spafford

Hi! I’m Brooke Spafford—new to the amazing 1826 Photographic Team. While I am new to the team, I am not new to photography. My husband and I previously owned/operated M & B Photography out of Huron, Ohio. We spent six incredible years working as a husband and wife team, photographing 50+ weddings and hundreds of engagement, family, and senior portrait sessions. We turned our passion for photography into a successful small business and I will forever be grateful for that experience.

I am originally from the Sandusky/Huron area. I went to The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and graduated with a BA in Psychology. I went to the University of Dayton for graduate school and I have an Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology. In addition to being a photographer, I am also a preschool school psychologist for a local public school district. My family is my life. My husband is my best friend and high school sweetheart. We have the most precious little boy on the planet (Camden), our first-born fur baby (Eli), and our newest addition to our family is our baby girl (Eliana)!

I am so excited for the next chapter of my photography journey here at 1826 Photographic. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and to help you capture life’s most important moments, milestones, & special memories!

Jessie Yonek

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Hi! My name is Jessie! I'm the admin girl here at the studio, so if you ever send us an email or give us a call, you will more than likely be speaking with me!

I grew up here in Sandusky and still live here with my sweet little family. I went to Perkins High School and attended college at Bowling Green State University. In 2014, I got married to my best friend, Zach, and together we have our large, fluffy fur baby, Theo, our beautiful toddler boy, Nolan, and our sweet baby girl, Jovie!

I first met Jamie and Lindsey a few years back when I assisted my husband who was a videographer at a wedding that they were also photographing. The two of them together were such a blast to work next to! Now I’m so thrilled to be working with the whole team on a weekly basis, helping them with anything that they may need to run the studio. I do a lot of the administrative tasks, like emailing, phone calls, and bookings, and I also help Lindsey with the 1826 social media pages and blogs! My days at the 1826 Studio are so fun and rarely ever feel like work. I’m so proud to be a part of the 1826 family!

Our 2500 square ft studio located in Sandusky, Ohio is fully equipped to handle all of your photographic needs.

Constructed in January of 2020, our brand new facility was custom designed specifically to be a photo studio. From our concrete floors to our 26ft. ceilings, to our large windows for natural light and our extra-wide entrance that is big enough to pull a car through - we spent over a year and a half designing this place for every possible photographic scenario. Even our exterior was built with photos in mind! We have plenty of outdoor shooting capabilities around the building, both green spaces as well as the building itself.
