Our Studio
If these walls could talk, oh, the stories they’d tell.
They’d tell you about the laughter during a cake smash, the quiet confidence of a headshot session, the happy chaos of family portraits, and the nerves-turned-joy in a personal branding shoot. They’d tell you about high school seniors striking their power pose, toddlers twirling in tulle, newborns wrapped in love, and business teams brought together by one good group photo.
Welcome to our 2,500 square foot studio, nestled right in Sandusky, Ohio. Built from the ground up in January 2020, this space was custom-designed with photography in mind—from the polished concrete floors to the 26-foot ceilings and giant windows spilling in natural light. Every inch of the studio—inside and out—was created to make photo sessions smooth, comfortable, and full of possibility.
Inside, we’ve hosted everything from full branding sessions to multi-generational family portraits, professional headshots, product photography, team photos, pet portraits, senior sessions, maternity milestones, and so much more. Whether your shoot needs a clean, modern backdrop or a curated seasonal set—we’ve got the space, the light, and the vision to bring it to life.

OWNER, HEAD PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi, I’m Jamie—founder, lead photographer, and firm believer in the magic of “living in the and.”
If you’ve found your way to this page, thank you. Whether you’re considering booking with us for the first time or you’ve trusted us with your memories for years, I’m endlessly grateful. It still blows my mind (in the best way) that I get to do what I love every day because of people like you.
I was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio and earned my BA in Studio Art & New Media from the University of Toledo. I actually thought I’d become a graphic designer, but life had other plans. Someone asked me to photograph their wedding…then another… and then another. Before I knew it, a business was blooming, and 1826 Photographic was born.
Since then, I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and portraits, opened our studio, married the love of my life, and become a mom to two amazing boys, Hugh and Hayes. Life looks very different than it did when I first started this business all those years ago—but that’s part of what makes it so beautiful.
Throughout it all, I’ve come to embrace the idea of “living in the and.” My mantra, “living in the and,” reflects my belief that life is not about choosing between roles or passions but embracing the richness that comes from holding space for it all. I’m a photographer and a business owner, a wife and a mother, a creative and an entrepreneur. This philosophy guides how I approach my work—photography that honors the “and” in your story.
Wherever you are in your journey, I’d be honored to help you celebrate it, because you deserve photos that reflect the full, beautiful complexity of your “and.”
Lindsey Lemons
ASSOCIATE PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi, I’m Lindsey!
Photographer, cat mom, Enneagram 2w1, and firm believer that life’s better with a little adventure.
My journey with 1826 Photographic began back in 2016 when I met Jamie while searching for a college internship. She was preparing for maternity leave, and I was in need of experience—we met, hit it off immediately, and the rest is history. After graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication: Commercial Photography (go Bobcats!), I officially joined the 1826 team in 2017 and have been here ever since.
Over the years, I’ve photographed more weddings, seniors, families, businesses, and engagement sessions than I can count—and with each session, my love for this work has only grown. I helped create and now manage our Senior Spokesmodel Program, and I’m also the face behind all of our social media. I’ve worn a lot of hats at 1826 over the years, and I truly know this business inside and out. No matter the moment, I’ll be there to help it shine—camera in hand, coffee nearby, and all the know-how to make you look and feel your best.
Outside of the studio, I’m married to my best friend, Brennan, who keeps me on my toes and always makes life interesting (he’s such a 7, iykyk), and I’m hopelessly devoted to our persian cat, Louis—who has my entire heart and soul (and knows it).
With nearly a decade of experience and a deep love for helping people feel confident and cared for, you can trust that I’ve got your session covered… after all, I am the #1 Hype Girl 😉

Alexa Willer
ASSOCIATE PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi, I’m Alexa – and for me, photography is all about embracing the freedom to wander, the curiosity to wonder, and the creativity to capture it all.
Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember. For a decade, I’ve been documenting life’s real moments—the joy, the chaos, the little glances and big belly laughs. Whether I’m capturing a glowing sunset, a family’s connection, or the goofy grin of a beloved pet, I’m always on the lookout for beauty in its most natural form.
I joined the 1826 team as the newest member of this incredibly talented crew, and I’m so grateful to bring my perspective and energy to every shoot. With a heart full of curiosity and a camera always within reach, I’m here to help you freeze time in the most honest, joy-filled way possible.
Born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio, I now share a cozy, love-filled home with my husband, Troy, and our trio of pets. We love to spend our free time out on the lake or traveling!
When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll probably find me dancing in the kitchen, tackling a new DIY project, exploring new places, or soaking up every ounce of summer sun I can get.
If you’re looking for someone to help you tell your story with heart, color, and a touch of wonder, I’d love to be that person. Let’s wander, let’s wonder—and let’s capture something beautiful together.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Hi, I’m Jessie—the friendly voice behind the scenes here at 1826.
If you’ve ever sent us an email, given us a call, or filled out a contact form, chances are you’ve connected with me! As the administrative assistant at the studio, I help keep everything running smoothly—from scheduling and client communication to organizing bookings, emails, blog posts, and social media support.
I’m a Sandusky native, Perkins High School alum, and proud graduate of Bowling Green State University. I married my high school sweetheart, Zach, in 2014, and we’ve built a beautiful life here with our two amazing kids, Nolan and Jovie, and our fluffy fur baby, Theo.
I first met Jamie and Lindsey a few years back while assisting my husband—who was a wedding videographer—at an event they were photographing. Watching them work together was such a blast, and now I’m lucky enough to support the full team behind the scenes as they do what they do best.
Whether I’m managing the calendar, responding to inquiries, or helping organize all the moving parts, I love being part of a team that blends creativity, care, and connection. I’m so proud to be a part of 1826—and I’m here to help make your experience with us as smooth and seamless as possible!
