Sam & Allie…where do I even begin? My love affair with the hilarious, sarcastic tom-boy that is Allie (Decaro) Sidoti started back in 2010 when I photographed her brother’s wedding. Since that day, anytime we’ve run into each other (which is all the time) she made sure to introduce me as her “future wedding photographer” and make sure I still had her “on the books”. Not many girls choose their wedding photographer before their groom – but Allie did and I vowed to always give her first dibs on my wedding calendar no matter what. So you can imagine my excitement when she called to tell me she was actually engaged!! And not to just anyone, to Sam Sidoti – a thoughtful, smart, handsome man who I know will shower her with the love and respect she deserves for the rest of her life.
Wedding planning with Sam & Allie was such a blast – from their winter engagement session to Allie’s random visits to just hang out while I edit. I often end up wishing my couples would get married over and over (to each other of course) just so I can work with them again but I have to say I really miss this one! :: cough, cough – come see me you guys!! ::
The wedding was a blast and I love the random texts from Allie asking if we can do it all over again. Allie & Sam were blessed with perfect weather and hundreds of family and friends to celebrate their big day. Sam wore his “lawyer shoes” with his suit and Allie sported bright white Nikes under her dress – making them “bridal” with sparkly silver shoelaces. Sts. Peter & Paul church was a packed house as Allie’s dad walked her down the aisle. The bridal party was pure entertainment as we took photos all around downtown Sandusky before arriving at the reception at Ten Fifty Eight. James DeMuth and Parker Louis performed live during cocktail hour and for the couple’s romantic first dance and guests danced the night away to the stylings of Rock and Roll Express. What a night!
(Please note that during the writing of this blog post, Allie once again texted asking if we can do it all over again. Gotta love that girl!)
