We’d like to just take a moment to appreciate the time, skill, and patience it took for our bride, Allison to pull this wedding together. Not only did their wedding standout with unique details and finds from Etsy and Pinterest but she made all of her own florals and the cord they used for “tying the knot”- I mean how sweet, right?. We absolutely died when we saw her blush wedding gown, it was stunning. Not a single detail was left out and we took full advantage of all the time she gave us to photograph all of the precious heirlooms and keepsakes. Oh, and did we mention that she did all of this while finishing graduate school? Yeah, talk about motivation, I’ll take some of that, please!
Allison and James are two of the kindest souls we’ve ever met and you can tell that they are well loved. Many of their family came from out of state for this celebration, most fairing from New York to see the couple exchange vows. This location was extra special to the couple as James spent many summers in the small village of Lakeside, Marblehead and actually proposed to Allison right on the pier overlooking Lake Erie. We so badly wanted to get some shots of the two of them on that same pier but the weather simply didn’t cooperate and most of it was covered with water. Not to worry though, Lakeside has so many cute little spots for photos that we felt like a kid in a candy shop looking at all the possibilities.
We loved this wedding for the details and the beautiful locations but at the end of the day, what stands out the most is how in love these two are. They didn’t sweat the small stuff because all they wanted was to be married. We love it when couples’ dreams come true!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Dietz!
